CATNIP HERB TEA BAGS
BOTANICAL NAME: Nepeta cataria
Nepeta cataria, catnip or catmint is anecdotally known for making your cats a little loopy, but in historical European folk medicine, it's also said to have sedative effects on people to help calm nerves. In the past it been used commonly in a tea, generations have used it to help ease digestive and emotional upsets in children, as well as flavoring foods, and more. Accounts of its use have been found in the United State, Europe, and Asia, so it is hard to tell where it originated, that being said, the effects noted by each culture worldwide were largely the same.
